After seven years absence, Portsmouth Lions are this year reviving the Southsea Carnival during the weekend of 24th-25th July. The event will include a parade of colourful floats from communities throughout the area setting off from the Royal Marines Museum, along the seafront, to Southsea Common.

It is hoped that the event, in conjunction with Portsmouth Caribbean Association and Portsmouth City Councils Seafront team, will bring many different groups from the city together in one huge extravaganza. Activities and stalls and an arena will be situated on Southsea Common from 11am-5pm on both days.
