The Southsea Directory is produced by Southsea residents for Southsea residents.

Established in early 2005, the Southsea Directory was created by a Southsea couple who realised the need for a local quality community publication. They wanted to promote Portsmouth and Southsea's cultural life and local businesses by offering advertising rates that all businesses could afford.

Originally a mere 20 pages long - four and a half years later, the magazine continues to go from strength to strength with continuing bumper issues and an ever increasing circulation.

With help from the University of Portsmouth final year student, Marnie Long-Collins, the natural progression onto the Internet has allowed an increased profile for the magazine and enabled the wide ranging local information to be more widely available.

The original two still own the magazine and with help from other business partners along the way, they like to think of the Southsea Directory as an integral and welcomed part of Southsea life.
